(LEAMINGTON, ON) - A driver was arrested at a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) checkpoint.
On July 27, 2025, at approximately 2:44 am, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Leamington Detachment conducted a RIDE checkpoint to examine the sobriety of drivers on Talbot Street West in the Municipality of Leamington.
Cesar OCAMPO-CETINA, 32-years-old of Leamington, was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code and Highway Traffic Act offence:
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.
The accused was scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice - Windsor on August 7, 2025, to answer to the charges.
A separate driver was issued a 3-Day suspension at the same RIDE checkpoint.
