DRIVER CHARGED FOR STUNT DRIVING

(GUELPH, ON) - The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charges Brampton resident with stunt driving.

On June 17, 2025, at approximately 10:15 am, members of the Wellington County OPP were conducting proactive traffic enforcement and observed a motor vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed, which lead to a traffic stop being initiated on the Hanlon Parkway North within Guelph.

As a result of the investigation, a 32-year-old from Brampton is charged under the Highway Traffic Act with:

  • Drive motor vehicle - perform stunt - excessive speed
  • Speeding 50+ km/h over posted limit

Anyone charged with drive motor vehicle - perform stunt receives a 14-day vehicle impoundment and a 30-day driver’s licence suspension as per statute.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Provincial Offences Court - Guelph, at a later date.
