DRIVER CHARGED WITH IMPAIRED DRIVING AFTER VEHICLE STRIKES HOUSE

No injuries and minimal damage reported

(LENNOX AND ADDINGTON COUNTY, ON) - Lennox and Addington County members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged one person with impaired driving related charges overnight.

 On Friday October 31, 2025, shortly after midnight, L&A County OPP members were advised of a collision involving a vehicle striking a residence on County Road 27 in the Township of Stone Mills. The collision did not cause any structural damage to the residence or any injuries. Police attended, and the driver was arrested.

 Ryan SMITH, a 29-year-old from Tamworth, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired - alcohol
  • Operation while impaired - over 80 mgs of alcohol
  • Dangerous operation

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on November 18, 2025. Their driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and their vehicle was impounded.
