(WARWICK TOWNSHIP, ON) - On May 27, 2025, at approximately 10:40 pm, a member of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting traffic enforcement on Highway 402 westbound, west of Forest Road, when a vehicle was observed travelling at what appeared to be a high rate of speed.
A traffic stop was initiated, and as a result of the investigation, a 23-year-old of Sarnia, was charged under the Highway Traffic Act and Liquor Licence and Control Act with the following offences:
- Drive Motor Vehicle - Perform Stunt - Excessive Speed
- Novice driver - B.A.C. above zero
- Driving motor vehicle with liquor readily available
The driver was further issued a 30-day driver’s licence suspension, and the vehicle has been impounded for a period of 14 days.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Provincial Offences Court in the City of Sarnia on July 3, 2025.
