DRIVER CHARGED WITH STUNT DRIVING IN BRANT COUNTY


(BRANT, ON) - On Monday, July 7, 2025, at approximately 4:54 pm, a member of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Pleasant Ridge Road near Colborne Street West after observing a vehicle travelling at an excessive rate of speed.

The officer was conducting speed enforcement in the area when a vehicle was observed travelling 125 km/h in a posted 60 km/h zone.

As a result of the investigation, a 78-year-old driver from Simcoe has been charged with:

  • Drive Motor Vehicle - Perform Stunt - Excessive Speed
  • Speeding - 125 km/h in a 60 km/h Zone

The driver’s licence was suspended for 30 days, and the vehicle was impounded for 14 days as per legislation.
