DRUG INVESTIGATION LEADS TO FIVE INDIVIDUALS CHARGED


(PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY, ON) - The East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) has arrested and charged five individuals from a traffic stop.

On August 14, 2025, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) East Region CSCU and Prince Edward County Detachment, conducted a traffic stop on Loyalist Parkway in Quinte West. As a result of the investigation, officers seized a quantity of suspected cocaine, opioids and Canadian currency.

Lena Guthrie, 33, from Demorestville, Aaron Johnston, 33, from Demorestville, Dominique Bleasdell, 27, from Markham, and Edward Noel, 25, from North York, were charged with the following offences:

  • Possession of a schedule one substance for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine
  • Possession of a schedule one substance for the purpose of trafficking - opioid
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000

Tajai Gordon, 18, from Toronto, was charged with the following offences:

  • Possession of a schedule one substance for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine
  • Possession of a schedule one substance for the purpose of trafficking - opioid
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000
  • Obstruct peace officer

All individuals were held for a bail hearing and have been remanded into custody.
