DRUG TRAFFICKING INVESTIGATION RESULTS IN CHARGES


(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) - A Haldimand/Norfolk Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) investigation has resulted in an individual facing multiple charges related to drug trafficking.

On Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at approximately 12:15 pm, members of the Haldimand/Norfolk OPP CSCU arrested an individual on Broadway Street in Tillsonburg, Oxford County, in connection with a Norfolk County drug trafficking investigation. The individual was also wanted on an outstanding warrant issued by the Niagara Regional Police Service.

During the search of the individual, officers seized suspected cocaine, crack cocaine, fentanyl, Canadian currency, and drug-related paraphernalia.

As a result, 42-year-old Jean Pierre AUCLAIR from Fort Erie, Ontario, was charged with the following alleged offences:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - cocaine - two counts, - Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking - opioid (other than heroin), - Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000 - in Canada

The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Wednesday, August 20, 2025.
