DUFFERIN OPP INVESTIGATE TWO SEPARATE BREAK AND ENTERS IN ORANGEVILLE


(DUFFERIN COUNTY) - Members of the Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating two break and enter incidents targeting local businesses in Orangeville.

On October 3, 2025, the Dufferin OPP responded to a break and enter at a restaurant located near 400 Townline in the Town of Orangeville. The suspect(s) smashed the glass door and stole an undisclosed amount of money from a money box. The incident is believed to have occurred between 9:30 PM on October 2 and 6:30 AM on October 3, 2025.

Later on October 3, 2025, the OPP were called to another break and enter at a restaurant on Armstrong Street in Orangeville. Similarly, the glass door was smashed, and an undisclosed amount of money was stolen from a money box. This incident is believed to have taken place during the early morning hours of October 3.

A suspect in one of the incidents was described as wearing a dark hoodie, dark pants, gloves, and a surgical mask.

The Dufferin OPP are asking the public to report any suspicious activity observed between October 2 and October 3, 2025, around 400 Townline or Armstrong Street in Orangeville.
