DUFFERIN OPP INVESTIGATING FATAL COLLISION IN AMARANTH
(AMARANTH, ON) - Members of the Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with Dufferin County EMS, and Fire Services attended a serious two-vehicle collision in the Township of Amaranth.
On Friday, October 10, 2025, at approximately 8:45 pm, officers attended County Road 10 near County Road 12 in Amaranth for the report of a serious two-vehicle collision. The collision involved two sport utility vehicles (SUV). A Honda SUV was traveling westbound and collided with an eastbound Toyota SUV.
Sadly, as a result of the collision the driver of the Honda, a 61-year-old, male from Grand Valley was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the Toyota, a 36-year-old female was transported to a Toronto area hospital with serious injuries. There were two children in the Toyota who were transported to local hospital with unknown injuries.
