(BLIND RIVER, ON)- Domestic disturbance results in multiple charges.
On Friday, October 17, 2025, at approximately 5:00 pm, the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence in Blind River.
The spouse returned to the residence while operating an ATV under the influence of alcohol. An argument ensued, during which the complainant was physically assaulted and property within the home was damaged.
A subsequent was made and the ATV driver was transported to Blind River detachment for further processing.
As a result, a 49-year-old from Blind River was charged with:
- Assault-spousal
- Mischief-domestic
- Uttering Threats - cause death or bodily harm - spousal
- Operation while impaired - alcohol
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The name of the accused will not be released to protect the victim’s identity.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on
December 16, 2025.
