OPP INVESTIGATE A SERIOUS MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION

(DUTTON-DUNWICH, ON)  - An individual is suffering life threatening injuries following a bicycle motor vehicle collision in the Municipality of Dutton-Dunwich.

On July 2, 2025, at approximately 8:30 pm, emergency services including Elgin-St. Thomas Emergency Medical Services (EMS), Dutton-Dunwich Fire Department and the Elgin Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), St. Thomas Detachment, responded to a bicycle vehicle collision on Shackleton Line between Willey Rd and McArthur Street.

A 62-year-old female from the Municipality of Dutton Dunwich was transported by EMS to hospital with life threatening injuries.

The driver of the motor vehicle was uninjured.

The Elgin OPP continue to investigate the collision with the assistance of the Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team.

Shackleton Line is now open to traffic.
