OPP Asking the Assistance of the Public to Identify Individual

(CENTRAL ELGIN, ON) - The Elgin Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), St. Thomas Detachment, is asking the public for their assistance in identifying an individual related to an ongoing suspicious person investigation.

On June 12, 2025, at approximately 4:05 pm, an individual approached two youths walking home in Port Stanley on East Rd near Compass Trail. Central Elgin. The elderly male suspect waved the youth over to the suspect’s vehicle at which time both youths ran from the area. The operator of the vehicle then drove south from the location. No injuries were reported.

The vehicle involved is described as a newer, black or grey Sport Utility Vehicle.

The driver is described as an elderly male with grey hair and a grey beard. The suspect was reported to have black square rimmed glasses, a black ball cap and wearing a grey sweater.
