(DUTTON DUNWICH, ON)  - An investigation underway for a structure fire in the village of Dutton.

On July 30, 2025, at approximately 10:47 pm, members of the Elgin Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Dutton Dunwich Fire responded to a report of a fire at a local vehicle dealership. No injuries were reported.

Police evacuated nearby residents for several hours due the heavy smoke from the fire and have since returned to their homes.

The Office of the Fire Marshall continues to investigate.

Currie Road is currently closed from Mary Street to Miller Road due to the on-going investigation and traffic is being re-routed to McIntrye Street.
