EXCESS SPEED LEADS TO NUMEROUS CHARGES
(HALDIMAND COUNTY) - A driver has been charged with numerous offences following a traffic stop for excess speed on McClung Road, Caledonia.
On December 8, 2025, at approximately 12:10 am, members of the Haldimand detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police observed a vehicle that brought attention to the officers, and a traffic stop was initiated.
As a result of the traffic stop, a 24-year-old from Caledonia has been charged with the following Highway Traffic Act offences:
- Drive Motor Vehicle - Perform Stunt - Excessive Speed
- Driving While Under Suspension
- Speeding 50+ Km/Hr Over Posted Limit
- Operate Motor Vehicle Without Insurance
- Drive Motor Vehicle, no Currently Validated Permit
- Obstruct Plate
- Use Illegal Licence
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga on January 9, 2026.
