FAIL TO REMAIN DRIVER CHARGED WITH MULTIPLE OFFENCES
(INGERSOLL, ON) - A driver who failed to remain at the scene of a collision is facing multiple charges.
On January 14, 2026, at approximately 7:50 pm, the Oxford detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received several calls regarding a two-vehicle collision on Canterbury Street, in the Town of Ingersoll. It was reported that one of the drivers failed to remain at the scene.
Thanks to the immediate calls from the public, members of the Oxford OPP located the driver.
As a result of the investigation Jesse FOGAL, a 42-year-old resident of Strathroy, was charged with the following offences:
- Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
- Failure/Refusal to Comply with a Demand
- Fail to Remain at a Collision
- Fail to Report a Collision
There were no injuries reported.
The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice, in Woodstock, at a later date.
