(BLUEWATER, ON) - A two-vehicle collision in the Municipality of Bluewater has claimed the life of a Bluewater resident. 

Just before 6:00 am on Friday, June 20, 2025, members of the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Huron County Paramedic Services, and South Huron Fire Department responded to a collision on London Road near Hurondale Road in Bluewater.

Upon arrival, emergency services located the involved vehicles, a sport utility vehicle and a passenger car, both heavily damaged. The lone driver of the car was pronounced deceased at the scene. The second driver was seriously injured and transported by air ambulance to a London Hospital. Neither vehicle had passengers on board.

The deceased is a 57-year-old resident of Bluewater. 

The cause of the collision is being investigated. Members from the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management & Enforcement (TIME) Team were at the scene to assist with the collision investigation. London Road was closed for the investigation and has since been re-opened.
