(NORTH PERTH, ON) - One person has died following a motor vehicle collision in the Municipality of North Perth

On August 12, 2025, the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), along with Perth County Paramedic Services and the North Perth and Mapleton Fire Departments, responded to a motor vehicle collision on Perth Line 88 at Perth Road 140 involving a motorcycle that had collided with a passenger vehicle.

As a result of the collision, the 36-year-old motorcycle driver from Drayton, suffered serious life-threatening injuries and was later pronounced deceased after being transported to a local trauma centre. The occupants of the passenger vehicle sustained minor injuries.

Members of the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team are assisting Perth County OPP with the investigation.

Perth Line 88 will be closed between Perth Road 146 and Wellington Sideroad 3 for several hours to investigate the collision. The public will be advised when the road has been reopened.
