(WASAGA BEACH, ON) - The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a serious collision in the Town of Wasaga Beach that has left one person deceased.

On Saturday, June 28, 2025, at approximately 8:15 pm, officers from the Huronia West Detachment of the OPP responded to a collision involving a pickup truck and a pedestrian. The collision happened on River Road West between Village Gate Drive and Bells Park Road.

As a result of the incident, the pedestrian, a 73-year-old from Scarborough, is deceased.

Simcoe County Paramedic Services and the OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement team assisted Huronia West OPP in the response and investigation.
