(OXFORD COUNTY) - A motor vehicle collision has claimed one life in Zorra Township.

On June 3, at approximately 9:05 am, the Oxford detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded with Oxford Fire Services and Paramedics to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Road 84 and 31st Line, Zorra Township.

The investigation determined that a Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) and a delivery truck collided at that location.

The passenger of the SUV was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the SUV was transported to a trauma center via Air Ornge with life threatening injuries. The driver of the delivery truck suffered minor injuries.

The roads remain closed while members of the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team assist with the investigation.
