(QUINTE WEST, ON) - The operator of an e-scooter has died following a collision in Quinte West.

On Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at approximately 10:30 pm, officers from the Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Hastings Quinte EMS responded to a collision involving a passenger vehicle and an e-scooter on Stockdale Road, Quinte West.

The 36-year-old operator of the e-scooter was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries and was later pronounced deceased.     

OPP Technical Collision Investigators attended the scene and continue to assist with the ongoing investigation.
