(Collingwood, ON) Officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have now concluded their scene investigation into a fatal motor vehicle collision that claimed the life of a pedestrian on Mountain Road in Collingwood.
Officers were dispatched to a collision on November 19, 2025, shortly before 10:00 pm where it was reported that a motorist had collided with a pedestrian. Investigation so far has found that the pedestrian, a 22-year-old female from Wasaga Beach, was directly in the path of the involved vehicle and suffered fatal injuries as a result of the crash. She was transported to local hospital by EMS however was pronounced deceased a short time later.
A post mortem was conducted and the roadway was closed for several hours as officers documented the scene and collected any evidence related to the incident. Mountain Road only reopened late Thursday at approximately 9:30 pm.
Investigation is ongoing however no charges are expected to be laid.
