FATAL SCOOTER COLLISION IN NORFOLK COUNTY


(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) - Police continue to investigate the circumstances of a fatal collision in Waterford.

On Friday, July 18, 2025, at approximately 9:22 pm, officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment, along with Norfolk County Fire Department and Norfolk County Paramedic Services, responded to a single-vehicle collision involving a two-wheeled scooter on the Waterford Heritage Trail between College Street West and Robinson Road.

The operator, a 30-year-old resident of Brant County, sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital where they were later pronounced deceased.

West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement Team is assisting with the investigation.

The Waterford Heritage Trail between College Street West and Robinson Road was closed for several hours while officers continued to investigate however the trail has since reopened.
