(THUNDER BAY, ON) - Members of the Thunder Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a fatal single vehicle collision that occurred on Highway 527 near Trowbridge Road in Shuniah Township.

On Sunday September 14, 2025, at approximately 7:30 am, officers responded to reports of a vehicle in the ditch. The driver and lone occupant of the motor vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The OPP North West Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team and OPP Collision Reconstructionists are assisting with the ongoing investigation.
