(CENTRAL FRONTENAC TWP., ON) - One person is deceased after a single vehicle collision, northwest of Kingston.

Shortly after noon on Friday, August 29, 2025, members of the Frontenac Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Frontenac County Paramedics and the Central Frontenac Fire and Rescue responded to the collision near Godfrey, on Westport Road, east of Hinchinbrooke Road, A car had left the roadway and struck a rock cut.

A 70-year-old male, the lone occupant of the car, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The investigation by the Frontenac Detachment is continuing, with assistance from member so the OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) Team.

Westport Road will remain closed in the area until the on-scene investigation is complete.
