AN UNWANTED PERSON WAS CHARGED WITH IMPAIRED DRIVING

(MARKSTAY-WARREN ON) - The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested and charged the operator of a motor vehicle with impaired driving.

On Friday October 24, 2025, at approximately 10:50 pm, members from the Nipissing West (Sudbury) Detachment of the OPP responded to an unwanted person at a residence in Markstay-Warren.

Police located the unwanted person in a running vehicle, parked in the driveway. The driver was arrested for impaired driving, then transported to the OPP detachment for further testing.

As a result of the investigation, Spencer TURVEY, 35 years-of-age, from Sudbury, was charged with operation while impaired - alcohol and operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on Wednesday November 19, 2025, in Sudbury.

The driver was issued a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
