(GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) - A Georgian Bluffs resident is charged following an incident in Georgian Bluffs.
On September 16, 2025, at approximately 1:11 pm, members of the Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a disturbance at a residence on Grey Road 1 in the Township of Georgian Bluffs.
The investigation revealed that the accused and the victims were known to each other, and an argument escalated into a violent confrontation. The accused attempted to gain entry to the residence by trying to break down a door before ultimately forcing entry.
Wade STURGEON, 30-year-old Georgian Bluffs resident was arrested and charged with several offences under the Criminal Code of Canada, including:
- Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm (Two Counts)
- Assault with a Weapon (Two Counts)
- Break and Enter a Dwelling with Intent to Commit an Indictable Offence
- Armed Robbery
- Disobeying a Court Order (Two Counts)
- Failure to Comply with Probation Order (Two Counts)
The victims did not sustain any physical injuries during the incident.
The accused was held in custody and is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing today, September 17, 2025, at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound.
