GOOD SAMARITAN REPORTS DAMAGED STOP SIGN


(NORWICH TOWNSHIP, ON) - The Oxford Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were notified of a damaged stop sign in Norwich Township.

On September 6, 2025, at approximately 4:45 am, officers responded to the report of a dangerous condition at the intersection of Norwich Road and Oxford Road 13.

A stop sign was located partially in a live lane. A good Samaritan noticed the sign and called police immediately.

It is unclear if the sign was removed due to a collision or due to mischief.

The removal or damage to a stop sign must be reported immediately to reduce the risk of serious harm or death.
