(CHAMPLAIN TWP., ON) - The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating an attempted break-in at a cannabis store in Champlain Township.

On Friday, July 19, 2025, just before midnight, officers from the Hawkesbury Detachment responded to an alarm at the shop on County Road 17.

Two males, wearing balaclavas, hoodies and gloves, had been captured on surveillance video, but appeared to flee the scene when the alarm went off.

Hawkesbury officers, members of the OPP Emergency Response Team and the OPP Canine Unit conducted a search of the area.
