(LAMBTON COUNTY, ON)  - The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has taken one individual into custody in connection with a homicide investigation in Lambton County.

On Saturday, November 29, 2025, at approximately 1:40 pm, Lambton County OPP officers responded to a residence in the Municipality of Lambton Shores. Upon arrival officers located a deceased individual. A second individual with serious injuries was transported to hospital. One person was taken into custody without incident.

Preliminary information suggests this is an isolated incident, with no indication of a broader threat. The public should expect to see an increased police presence in the area as the investigation continues.

The Lambton County OPP Crime Unit is conducting the investigation under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch, in collaboration with the Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service. Assistance is being provided by the OPP Forensic Identification Services.
