IMPAIRED CHARGES LAID FOLLOWING COLLISION


(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TOWNSHIP, ON) - An individual has been arrested for suspected impaired driving following a collision.

On November 11, 2025, at approximately 12:15 am, members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a public complaint of a single-vehicle found in a ditch on Highway 6 in Guelph-Eramosa.

As a result of the investigation, a 25-year-old from Fergus, is charged under the Criminal Code with:

  • Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice - Guelph on a later date.

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a 45-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused’s name is being withheld, out of concern for their well being.
