(CENTRE WELLINGTON TWP, ON) - The Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charge a Listowel resident criminally, stemming from a public driving complaint.

On October 26, 2025, at approximately 4:00 pm, members of the Wellington County OPP were conducting proactive traffic enforcement when a traffic complaint came in, informing officers of a motor vehicle displaying signs of impaired driving. Officers quickly attended to the area, located the motor vehicle in question, and performed a traffic stop on St David Street within Fergus.

As a result of the investigation, Rebecca MOORE, a 35-year-old of Listowel is charged under the Criminal Code with:

  • Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
  • Failure to comply with undertaking
  • Operation while prohibited under the criminal code
  • Driving while under suspension

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a 45-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice - Guelph on November 28, 2025.
