(Red Lake, ON) Members of the Red Lake Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) engaged a male operating a OneWheel Electric Skateboard in Balmertown, Ontario.
On Friday, August 15th, 2025 at approximately 10 pm, officers conducted a traffic stop on an erratic driver and an impaired driving investigation commenced. The operator was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code.
Kyle MELANSON, 36 years old of Balmertown, Ontario, was charged with:
- Operation While Impaired - Alcohol and drugs
- Operation While Impaired - Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus)
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Red Lake on September 18th, 2025. The accused’s driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days.
