IMPAIRED DRIVER ARRESTED AFTER TRAFFIC STOP
(SOUTH HURON, ON) - Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Bluewater resident with an impaired driving offence following a traffic stop on November 20, 2025, in the Town of Exeter, Municipality of South Huron.
Just before 11:00 pm on Thursday, November 20, 2025, Huron County OPP officers conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle on Main Street North in Exeter. The driver was subsequently arrested for impaired operation.
The accused provided breath samples before a qualified OPP Intoxilyzer Breath Technician at the Huron County OPP detachment in Clinton. Breath samples provided to police resulted in readings over the legal limit.
Leslie LEWIS, 66 years-of-age from Bluewater has been charged with:
- Impaired Operation - Over 80
The vehicle involved was towed and impounded for seven days, and the accused’ driver’s license was suspended for a period of 90 days.
The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich on December 29, 2025.
