IMPAIRED DRIVER ARRESTED FOLLOWING COLLISION IN BRANT COUNTY
(BRANT, ON) - On October 10, 2025, at approximately 11:33 pm, members of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single-motor vehicle collision on Mechanic Street in Paris, Ontario.
Upon arrival on scene police located a parked blue sedan with a lone male occupant seated in the driver’s seat. The vehicle had extensive front-end damage and appeared to have recently been involved in a collision. The vehicle licence plate also matched the licence plate of a vehicle that fled from police earlier. Police spoke to the male who was sitting in the driver’s seat and following a police investigation Zachary COUSINS a 27-year-old of Cambridge, was taken into custody and charged with the following offences:
- Operation While Impaired - Alcohol and drugs
- Operation While Impaired - Blood Alcohol Concentration Over 80
- Mischief Destroys or Damages Property
- Flight from Police
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford on October 30, 2025.
