(BRANT, ON) - On Oct 31, 2025, at approximately 7:26 pm, members of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint regarding a motor vehicle driving on Hartley Avenue.

Police located the vehicle in question and conducted a traffic stop on Hartley Avenue. Following a police investigation police arrested Damian STRUB a 25-year-old male of Waterloo, and charged him with the following offences:

• Operation While Impaired - Alcohol and drugs
• Operation While Impaired - Blood Alcohol Concentration Over 80
• Assault a Peace Officer X 2
• Mischief X 2

The accused was held in custody and awaited a bail hearing on November 1.

The OPP continues to prioritize road safety through proactive enforcement and public education. Impaired driving-whether by alcohol or drugs-remains one of the leading causes of serious collisions and fatalities on Ontario roadways.
