IMPAIRED DRIVER ARRESTED FOLLOWING TRAFFIC STOP


(BROOKE-ALVINSTON, ON) - One individual has been charged with impaired driving following a traffic stop.

On August 3, 2025, shortly after 9:15 pm, while conducting general patrol, a member of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Inwood Road at Oil Springs Line, after observing a suspicious vehicle.

As a result of the investigation, Patrick SINCLAIR, 24-year-old of Bothwell, was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with the following offences:

  • Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in the City of Sarnia on September 25, 2025.
