IMPAIRED DRIVER ARRESTED FOLLOWING TRAFFIC STOP

(GRAND BEND, ON) - An individual has been charged with impaired driving following a traffic stop in Grand Bend.

On December 29, 2025, shortly after 2:30 am, while conducting general patrol, a member of the Lambton County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Lake Road in Grand Bend.

As a result of the investigation, Stanley JOSE, 36-year-old of Ilderton, was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with the following offences:

  • Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in the City of Sarnia on February 10, 2026.
