IMPAIRED DRIVER ARRESTED THANKS TO TRAFFIC COMPLAINT FROM CONCERNED CITIZEN

(PUSLINCH TOWNSHIP, ON) - A Burlington driver is arrested following a collision in Puslinch.

On December 6, 2025, at approximately 4:30 am, members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision into a ditch on Watson Road in Puslinch, after receiving a complaint from a concerned citizen, who suspected the driver to be impaired.

As a result of the investigation, Craig SWIRZON, a 51-year-old from Burlington, is charged under the Criminal Code with:

  • Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
  • Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused did not sustain any injuries.

The accused was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Guelph on December 19, 2025.

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.
