(BLUEWATER, ON) - On Friday, September 26th, 2025, members of the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of possible impaired driver at an address on Oxford Street West in the Village of Hensall, Municipality of Bluewater.

Police attended and located an individual showing signs of impairment behind the wheel of a motor vehicle. The suspect was arrested for impaired operation and transported to the Tillsonburg OPP detachment to conduct tests before an OPP Drug Recognition Expert (DRE).  

The accused was charged under the Criminal Code with the following offence:

Nickolas ELLIOTT, 34 years-of-age from Huron East has been charged with:

• Operation while Impaired - blood drug concentration

The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court date scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich on October 27, 2025.
