(DRYDEN, ON) - On August 14th, 2025 at approximately 09:45 am, the Dryden Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a male that was sleeping in a parked and running vehicle on Highway 594, for over 6 hours.
The officers attended and it was determined that the driver was impaired. The driver was placed under arrest & returned to the detachment where a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) opined that the driver was impaired by drug.
As a result of the investigation, Wade LERAT, 41, from Saskatchewan was charged with:
- Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Dryden on September 15th, 2025.
