(TOWNSHIP OF CRAMAHE, ON) - The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an individual with impaired operation following a single-vehicle collision.
On June 19, 2025, shortly before 3:00 am, police responded to a report of a collision on Trent Valley Drive. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and the Township of Cramahe Fire Department also attended the scene.
The vehicle was located on its roof and off the roadway. Officers initiated an impaired driving investigation. The sole occupant was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
As a result, Owen TURNER (19) from the Municipality of Brighton has been charged with:
- Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
- Failure or refusal to comply with demand
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg in July.
In addition to the court date, a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment were initiated under statute.
