(BRANT, ON) - On August 3, 2025, at approximately 7:57 pm, members of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint involving a possible impaired driver on Bishopsgate Road, within the County of Brant.

As a result of the investigation, one individual was taken into custody.

Police have charged Christopher HOWELL, 41 years old, of Burford, with the following offences under the Criminal Code:

• Operation While Impaired - Alcohol
• Dangerous Operation
• Operation While Impaired - BAC 80+

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford on August 21, 2025.
