IMPAIRED DRIVING INVESTIGATION FOLLOWING SINGLE MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION


(DUFFERIN COUNTY) - Members of the Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a Mississauga resident with impaired driving offences following a single-vehicle collision.

On August 3, 2025, shortly after 12:30 am, Dufferin OPP officers responded to a single-vehicle collision on County Road 25, just north of Grand Valley, where a vehicle had struck a bridge deck. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the male driver and observed signs of impairment, prompting an impaired driving investigation.

Terrance D’SOUZA, a 53-year-old male, from Mississauga has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs

The accused individual is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville. Their driver’s licence was suspended, and their vehicle impounded.
