(RUSSELL, ON) - Members of the Russell County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) detachment responded to an incident that occurred in the W.E Burton Park that led to one person being transported to hospital. 

On June 28, 2025, at approximately 10:42 pm members of the Russell County OPP received a complaint of an incident in the W.E Burton Park. Officers attended the scene along with Paramedics from the United Counties Prescott Russell Paramedic Service. The investigation revealed that numerous young adults and youths had attended the park for a party. During the party an altercation ensued between two of the individuals. Injuries sustained by one of the individuals required them to be transported to a hospital.
