(EXETER, ON) - The Huron Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is advising the public of an increased police presence in Exeter.

On September 29, 2025, at approximately 6:33 am, police were called to an apartment complex on Sanders Street East for a report of an individual in crisis.

Police are advising residents of the apartment building to stay in their homes until the incident is resolved.

There is no broader threat to public safety and updates will be provided when new information becomes available.

Members of the OPP West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Canine Unit are on the scene, along with crisis negotiators.
