(CLARENCE-ROCKLAND, ON) - Members of the Russell County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged a man following a vehicle collision in Bourget.
On Saturday, November 15, 2025, at approximately 8:30 am, Russell County OPP responded to a report of a vehicle striking a residence in Bourget. While en route, officers were advised that the driver had fled the scene on foot.
The OPP Canine Unit was deployed to assist in locating the individual.
As a result of the investigation, 43-year-old Justin Kack of Rockwood, Ontario has been charged with the following offences under the Criminal Code of Canada (CC), the Controlled drugs and Substances Act (CDSA), and the Highway Traffic Act (HTA):
- Possession of property obtained by crime - CC
- Mischief - rendering property useless - CC
- Failure to comply with an undertaking - CC
- Possession of a Schedule I substance - CDSA
- Careless driving - HTA
- Driving while under suspension - HTA
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in L’Orignal on January 7, 2026.
