(DOURO-DUMMER TOWNSHIP, ON)- The Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested an individual after attending a Douro-Dummer residence for a disturbance.

On Thursday July 10, 2025, at approximately 5:30 pm, members of the OPP Peterborough County Detachment received a report of an assault on Maryvale Road in Douro-Dummer Township. The caller advised that an individual from another unit in the building became enraged when asked to move some belongings from a common area. The caller stated that the accused followed the victim out of the residence with a weapon in hand attempting to strike them and then causing damage to a vehicle.

Peterborough County OPP officers attended and after speaking with all parties, one individual was arrested.

David MINTZ (age 34) of Douro-Dummer, ON., was arrested and charged with:

  • Assault
  • Assault with a weapon
  • Uttering Threats - Cause Death or Bodily Harm
  • Mischief under $5,000

The accused was held for Bail appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough.
