(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) - An individual has been charged following an assault investigation in Simcoe.

At approximately 12:54 am on Monday, June 2, 2025, the Norfolk County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of an assault on Miller Cresent in Simcoe.

Through investigation, it was determined that two individuals were involved in an interaction inside a residence, during which one was physically assaulted and sustained minor injuries.

As a result, one individual was taken into custody without incident.

28-year-old Jacob HOAG from Norfolk County has been charged with the following alleged offence:

• Assault

The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Monday, June 2, 2025.
