(Picton, ON) - Members of the Prince Edward County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a Marlbank resident with sexual assault.

On May 30, 2025, at approximately 9:00 am, officers responded to a report of a sexual assault at a Provincial Park in Prince Edward County. Officers conducted an investigation and made an arrest the same day. As a result a 19 year old male from Marlbank has been charged with:

• Sexual assault
• Sexual assault causing bodily harm- choke, suffocate or strangle

The accused was released from custody and will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.

The OPP will not release any further details in order to protect the identity of the victim.
