INJURIES FROM SINGLE MOTORCYCLE COLLISION


(NORTH KAWARTHA TOWNSHIP, ON) - Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and emergency crews attended the scene of a serious single vehicle motorcycle collision on County Road 504.

On Friday August 8,2025, shortly before 2:00pm, the Peterborough County OPP received a call related to a single-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle with a driver and a passenger. Information was provided that the motorcycle lost control and entered the ditch. Both the driver and the passenger were ejected from the motorcycle.

The motorcycle driver, a 60-year-old male from Bowmanville sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The passenger, a 61-year-old female from Scarborough was transported by ORNGE Air with more serious injuries.

County Road 504 remained closed for several hours while emergency crews dealt with the collision and officers trained in collision reconstruction measured and documented the scene.
